Stinging Nettle

I Love Stinging Nettle Infusion. I myself enjoy a half infusion which I drink on a daily basis, 1-4 cups. I prefer it Cold but as the mornings are going to get colder I will be using it warm as an exchange for my morning Java fix. I will sometimes drink it mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with my black coffee if I feel the need for the caffeine fix and to really infuse Nettle into my blood system fast..... Nettle is not only energizing but also very nourishing and re-hydrating I have found for myself. Nettle is load with vitamins, minerals and protein. It has long been used for food and medicinal purposes. To make an infusion you need to take 1 ounce of nettle (I use an dry organic nettle) put into a quart canning jar, fill the jar with boiling water, Cover (this keeps the water soluble vitamins where they belong) and let sit for 4-6 hours then drain and make sure to squeeze the herb itself in a cheese cloth to get all the yummyness out of the herb. Then feed the herb to your compost pile or let dry a bit and feed it to your worm compost(more about worms coming later). I then take my quart full of Nettle Infusion and dilute it with a quart of filtered water (my 1/2 fusion) in a 1/2 gallon jar and refrigerate. Should be drunk in the next 24-48 hours which I find very easy. To learn more about Nettles please Google, Susun Weed, Aviva Romm, or just Nettles and learn more about what Nettle can do for you......
